API Reference / Simulate Incoming SMS

Simulate Incoming SMS

Inject a simulated SMS with a specified sender and message into a Cloud Phone.

Requirements and scope

  • This simulates incoming messages. It does not provide a real phone number, an SMS sending or receiving service, or a verification-code channel.

Operation and request model

POST /api/v1/tasks · action: sms

This page shows the shared task endpoint and the selected action request branch. The HTTP method, path and constraints follow the original contract. Acceptance does not mean the device has completed the operation.

HTTP 202 means that Core has durably accepted the task, not that device execution succeeded. Save task_id and the original Idempotency-Key, then query the task. Display per-target results using items[].status/result/observation. For an unknown response, query the original key only; do not automatically resubmit with a new key.

This page is for reading only and does not send live requests.

Available features depend on the delivered contract and acceptance results.
