Create Cloud Phones from Backups

Import an existing usable Backup into a specified Cloud Card to create a new Cloud Phone.

Requirements and scope

Restore creates a new Cloud Phone and keeps the original. Access to both the Backup and target Cloud Card is required. Compatibility across Machine Rooms must be confirmed at delivery.

Operation and request model

POST /api/v1/tasks · action: backup_restore

This page shows the shared task endpoint and the selected action request branch. The HTTP method, path and constraints follow the original contract. Acceptance does not mean the device has completed the operation.

HTTP 202 means that Core has durably accepted the task, not that device execution succeeded. Save task_id and the original Idempotency-Key, then query the task. Display per-target results using items[].status/result/observation. For an unknown response, query the original key only; do not automatically resubmit with a new key.
